INDIANAPOLIS — Golf is returning to Victory Field next month.

The Indianapolis Indians hosted three days of golf in late-August and it went over so well that the team decided to do it again. The dates are October 15, 16 and 17.

PREVIOUS: Victory Field Transformed Into Golf Course

When Minor League Baseball couldn't be played this year because of the pandemic, teams across the country looked for other ways to use their stadiums. Out of that came "The Links at Victory Field."

It's not typical golf. There are nine holes marked on the playing field. Players tee off from nine spots in the seating area and outfield berm. Golfers get three balls for each hole and scoring is based on how close the balls land to the pin.

The event is open to individuals ($39 for 9 holes) and foursomes ($140 total for 9 holes). No golf skills are required. Drinks are snacks are available along the way. Clubs and balls are provided.
