SEYMOUR — A 55-year-old Michigan man was struck and killed late-Thursday on I-65 in the Seymour area.
Indiana State Police say David Buchanan of Stanwood, Michigan was driving north on 65 when his Chevy Silverado left the road and became stuck in the median.
Buchanan began walking north on 65 where he was hit by a Jeep driven by Franklin Reed, a 23-year-old Nashville, Tennessee man.
Police say Buchanan was dead at the scene while Reed was not injured.
Jackson County Animal Control took possession of a dog that was left in Buchanan's truck.
Northbound lanes of the highway were shut down for about four-hours while investigators did their work.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
