INDIANAPOLIS -- Nearly 200 people were arrested or cited by police over Indianapolis 500 weekend this year.
Indiana State Excise Police arrested or cited 130 minors, 38 adults and 20 juveniles on 263 charges over Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Officers issued 139 summonses for illegal possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages. Eight people were arrested.
Last year during the same weekend, excise officers cited 141 minors, 28 adults and seven juveniles.
