INDIANAPOLIS -- For hundreds of thousands of people, the Indianapolis 500 will be a one-day event. But for some die-hards, the event has already begun.
Fans like Tom Klein of North Carolina make the race a month-long affair. In 1978 he rode on a motorcycle with a sleeping bag and a tent to watch the race.
Now he brings a trailer, and the friends he's made over the year.
