CHARLOTTE, NC. -- It was a wild weekend at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway with thousands of pounds of trash and other interesting items left behind by IndyCar fans after the Indianapolis 500.
From grills to pairs of boots, coolers to kiddie pools and loveseats; there were a lot of unique things cleaned up at IMS.
One thing 500 fans did not leave behind was an actual member of the party they came with, which NASCAR race attendees at the Charlotte Motor Speedway can claim.
Amid all the discarded belongings, a woman was found sleeping on the infield in Charlotte early Monday morning, apparently left behind by everyone – including her friends.
Jody Nash told WBTV she fell asleep sometime during Sunday’s Coke 600 race, and when she woke up in turn 2, her friends were gone.
"They left me, too," she told WBTV. "Hey mom, I'm okay. I'm still here in Turn 2."

Over 100,000 fans attended the race - leaving behind a mess that fans who attended the Indy 500 will find familiar.
But don’t worry about Nash, according to WBTV she was able to get home safely on Monday.
