INDIANAPOLIS -- Tony Kanaan will race in place of Sebastien Bourdais in the No. 68 Ford Chip Ganassi GT at this year's Le Mans 24 Hours.
It will be the first time Kanaan has competed in the Le Mans race.
Bourdais was injured during the first round of Indy 500 qualifying after his car wiggled going through the second turn and then slammed into the barrier wall.
He was diagnosed with multiple fractures to his pelvis and a fractured right hip and is still recovering.
