INDIANAPOLIS -- Indy 500 rookie Zach Veach walked away after crashing his car during practice for the 101st racing of the Indy 500 on Friday at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Veach slammed into the wall during turn 2.
IndyCar officials say Veach was checked, cleared and released from the infield care center.
Veach drives for A.J. Foyt is attempting to qualify for his first Indy 500.
