SPEEDWAY, Ind. -- Crews at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway are getting ready for the cars to take over the track.
IMS workers installed foam on the walls around the track for safety.
IMS President J. Douglas Boles tweeted a photo of the work.

He said cars will be back on the track next week for a test.
IndyCar is also trying to limit the number of cars that go airborne this year, after Indy 500 qualifying was delayed multiple times last year.
The IndyCar flap system will be used this year on the rear wing of the car. If a car turns backward at high speeds, the flaps will deploy and slow the car down.
