INDIANAPOLIS – As IndyCar driver Robert Wickens continues to recover from a serious accident earlier this year, some have ideas to make sure this doesn't happen again and build a safer fence.
This new fence is designed as a catch fence, with the goal to deflect cars from the fence by placing a deflection plate over the front of the fence.
Some in the racing community believe that a safer fence is needed to make racing safer.
