HAMMOND, Ind. -- Indiana Pacers player Victor Oladipo made a surprise appearance at the "Joe & Joe" rally in Hammond to throw in his support for Joe Donnelly in Indiana's U.S. Senate race Friday.
Oladipo joined Senator Donnelly and former Vice President Joe Biden at the rally. During his speech, he told the crowd that he considers the Hoosier state his "adopted family."
"I had the opportunity to spend some time with two great men tonight," Oladipo said in a post on his Instagram account following the rally. "(Biden & Donnelly) were nothing short of amazing and have inspired me to change the world in a positive way and I encourage everyone in our world to do the same."
Oladipo's surprise appearance was at the same time that Vice President Mike Pence attended a GOP fundraising dinner in Indianapolis in support of Mike Braun.
