PISCATAWAY, NJ — Purdue learned the ugly truth about Rutgers Tuesday in Piscataway, New Jersey. The Scarlet Knights are unbeatable at home, at least this season.
Not that the Boilermakers didn't try to be the team that broke the streak. After trailing by as many as 17 points earlier in the game, Purdue cut the margin to three in the final minute.
But Rutgers hung on for a 70-63 win, making the 25th ranked Scarlet Knights 15-0 on their home court this year.
Purdue is now 11-10 overall and 4-6 in the Big Ten.
Jahaad Proctor had a big night off the bench for the Boilers with 19 points. Trevion Williams finished with 17 points and 13 rebounds.
Purdue continues on the road with a game Saturday at Northwestern.
