WEST LAFAYETTE — Purdue slept in the first half but woke up in the second and came away with a 68-61 win over Valparaiso Friday at Mackey Arena.
Valpo owned an 11-point halftime lead, but was outscored 45-27 in the second. Still, the Crusaders hung around, and pulled to within three points with one minute to go.
Sasha Stefanovic's 19-points was best for Purdue. Trevion Williams had 17-points to go along with 11-rebounds.
Nick Robinson led the Crusaders with 15-points.
The Boilermakers are 3-1 this season. Valpo falls to 0-3.
