Sanchez tweeted late Tuesday that his surgery was successful and that he is overwhelmed by the love and support.
The 26-year-old was diagnosed with the tumor late last week and revealed the illness on social media Monday.
Sanchez did not provide details about the diagnosis, only saying doctors found it before it spread to the rest of his body.
The Colts say he will miss some time, but it's not clear how long he will be out.
