INDIANAPOLIS — Dozens of kids at the Peyton Manning Children's Hospital carried brighter smiles on Wednesday evening.
Seattle Seahawks twin brothers, Shaquem and Shaquill Griffin, met with young orthopedics patients at the St. Vincent hospital in Indianapolis.
Shaquem's story is much like many young patients receiving care at the hospital.
"It just goes to show it's not all about football. It's about giving back, creating positive vibes, energy and inspiration for all the kids," Shaquem said.
The twins greeted and shook hands with young patients. The twins continued to encourage the kids to pursue their life goals no matter what obstacles they may face.
"You gotta continue to dream and he been dreaming big since when he's little," Shaquill said. "Continue to dream and don't be scared to. Do what you want to do and continue to be you."
Shaquem and his twin brother made a pact that they would live together, marry twins and play on the same football team.
They accomplished their life-long dream of playing in the National Football League together when Shaquill was drafted in 2017 and Shaquem in 2018.
Shaquem is the first one-handed NFL player in the league.
