INDIANAPOLIS -- All lanes of southbound I-65 at 38th Street reopened after a semi crashed and spilled a large amount of fuel, prompting the highway to be shut down for 3 hours Thursday morning.
The crash happened Thursday morning before 5 a.m. when two vehicles and a semi collided in that area. Indiana State Police say serious injuries have been reported as a result of the crash, and 55 gallons of diesel fuel was spilled onto the roadway.
ISP Sgt. John Perrine said they are having trouble locating some of the injured because they were transported from the scene by Good Samaritans and not taken directly to hospitals.
Anybody who saw the crash on I-65 this morning please contact ISP. 3-4 people from the crashed vehicle left the scene & are not at hospitals
