The Indiana Department of Transportation announced that drivers should expect delays and slick driving conditions late tonight and during Friday morning's commute. Temperatures across most of the state will plunge from the 60s to the low teens within the next few hours.
INDOT crews will be out with more than 80 trucks to salt thee roads around 11 p.m. tonight.
4:30 p.m.
Road crews are currently putting cold patches (a temporary solution) down on numerous potholes on I-69 southbound in Madison County, between Mile Marker 217 and 228.
Crews will first be working in the right lane, thus traffic must use the left lane. Later in the day, crews will switch to the left lane and vehicles will use the right.
According to INDOT, hot patches are a more permanent fix and will begin as early as Friday on I69.
At this time, there are significant traffic delays on I-69 in Madison County, heading south bound.

The Johnson County Sheriff's Office is reporting multiple roads across the county are closed because of high water.
In one instance, a driver in the 2700 block of South County Road 225W in Franklin drove through extremely high water. Three people were rescued from the roof of the vehicle by members of the Bargersville Fire Department as water rushed into the vehicle.

Due to flooding on area roads, Monroe County schools are releasing high school and middle schools at 1:50 p.m. and elementary schools at 2:50 p.m. School-Age Extended Day Programs will open at early dismissal times and remain open until 6 p.m.

Ellettsville, northwest of Bloomington in Monroe County, downtown streets, including State Road 46 are flooded.

Brown County is reporting issues with high water on multiple roads:
• 46 W at the old Nashville Opry all the way to Nashville is flooding.
• 46 w at Crooked Creek is flooded
• Shipley Hollow
• The slabs on 135 S are flooded
• Greasy Creek at the dam Creamer Lake
• Green Valley is flooded
• Old 46 from Hard Truth hills to Nashville
• Low Crossing at Grandview

Morgan County is under a "travel advisory" due to roads with high water.
In Brown County, State Road 46 west of Nashville reports some areas under water.
1:08 p.m.
The rain and severe weather that pushed through parts of central Indiana has major roads to flood.
In Bartholomew County, EMA reports multiple roads are under water including portions of State Road 58, SR 46 and SR 9. The EMA director asks drivers to avoid those areas of flooded roadway

The Tornado Warnings have been allowed to expire in Monroe, Greene and Lawrence counties but the severe weather potential continues as the storm system moves east.
Flash Flood Warnings remain in effect for multiple central Indiana cities.
12:45 p.m.
A Tornado Warning has been issued in Monroe, Greene and Lawrence counties until 1 p.m.
So far, Emergency Management Directors in each county say they have not had any reports of damage.
A spokesperson for IU Bloomington says students have been ordered to follow their severe weather procedures until the warning has expired.
