While Indianapolis roads are getting better, other counties are not faring as well. Here's an update from Randolph County emergency management.
8:00 a.m.
Road conditions are beginning to improve in Indianapolis but surrounding counties are still looking pretty bad. Side roads have not been cleared in many areas.
Driver for conditions or you could end up in the ditch like the driver below.

Many of those school delays are now turning over to closings.

The wintry mix is quickly ending from west to east. RTV6 Meteorologist Todd Klaasen says if you can wait a couple of hours before leaving the house the roads will be MUCH better.

6:10 a.m.
In Indianapolis, a Trooper was injured after he pulled over at the side of I-70 to assist another trooper who had a flat tire.
The trooper had stopped at the bottom of a ramp to Emerson Avenue and had his lights flashing when his vehicle was struck by another vehicle.
The trooper was taken to Eskenazi Hospital with severe back pain but is expected to be okay.

More than 200 schools are running on a two-hour delay this morning as road conditions continue to deteriorate across the county.
