INDIANAPOLIS — One year ago, Central Indiana was piling on the snow! A strong storm system dropped more than a foot of snow on Brownsburg, and 10.2 inches of snow on Indianapolis.
It's no surprise we set the daily snowfall record for the city with that storm.
Cold air clashed with lots of moisture and upper level energy on March 24, 2018. That combination resulted in some snowfall rates exceeding 2 inches per hour.

The weekend timing allowed everyone (dogs included) to enjoy the late March snow day.
While the snow was heavy for some, others got little to none. Very dry air led to a sharp cut-off just north of a Lafayette to New Castle line. The good thing about snow this time of year is it doesn't take too long to melt away.
