The National Weather Service said Tuesday that two tornadoes touched down in central Indiana Monday night during an outbreak of severe thunderstorms.
The NWS says an EF-0 tornado touched down around 7:53 p.m. about two miles north of Deer Creek and eight miles northeast of Camden in Carroll County.
The tornado traveled for approximately 1.2 miles eastward into Cass County, southwest of Logansport.
Wind speeds of around 75 miles per hour were recorded. It's maximum width was 50 yards. It was on the ground for approximately a minute.
No major damage was reported, but emergency responders in Cass County said multiple trees and power lines were down Monday night after the storms came through.
An EF-1 tornado also touched down around 8 p.m. north of Peru in Miami County. Its peak wind speed was an estimated 90 miles per hour. The tornado skipped along a 1.9 mile long path.
Crop and tree damage was reported and a pole barn was destroyed along N. County Road 600 E.
