This week is Severe Weather Preparedness Week nationwide, and Tuesday is about staying safe if a tornado hits.
There are two statewide tornado drills Tuesday -- one was at 10:15 a.m., and the other will be at 7:35 p.m.
Use this opportunity to go over your tornado safety plan with your family.
A basement or interior room is the best spot to be if a tornado hits. Make sure you stay away from windows.
