Food delivery service Uber Eats coming to Indianapolis

Posted

INDIANAPOLIS -- Uber Eats, a food delivery service spinoff of the car service, is expanding to Indianapolis this week.

According to a flier distributed at Sunday's Indianapolis 500, Uber Eats will be in Indianapolis on Thursday, June 1.

Similar to DoorDash, GrubHub or OrderUp, you order on an app and an Uber Eats driver will pick up your food and deliver it to you.

According to its website, the average order takes 30 minutes.

There are about 90 cities with Uber Eats, including ones nearby like Cincinnati, Columbus, Ohio, Nashville and Cleveland.

Restaurants can opt in to be a part of Uber Eats. So far, the restaurant list for Indianapolis is unknown.
