INDIANAPOLIS -- If you can't get enough White Castle, and have an extra few thousand dollars to spare, you can buy a piece of Indianapolis history.
White Castle #3, believed to be the third-oldest White Castle restaurant ever, is for sale. The white brick building at 660 Fort Wayne Ave. is for sale for $85,000.
Indiana Landmarks, a historic preservation organization, recently took responsibility for the building. A purchase of the building would include a protective covenant, meaning it must be maintained in the future.
White Castle #3 served its last burger in 1979. It was since used as a real estate office and a National Guard recruiting center.
The building was built sometime between 1925 and 1927.
