FedEx Express to host application session for jobs in Indy

INDIANAPOLIS — FedEx Express is holding an application session on Saturday at its recruitment center near the Indianapolis International Airport.

It is the first in a series of planned recruitment efforts by the company this year, a company recruitment specialist told RTV6.

The application session will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the FedEx recruitment center, 6311 Airway Drive.

FedEx Express is looking to fill a number of part-time handler and material handler positions. The handler position pays $15 an hour with the material handler position paying $15.80 an hour. The jobs feature medical coverage with premiums less than $10 a month with vision and dental benefits and tuition assistance also available.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and able to lift 75 pounds. There is no minimum education requirement. Applicants are subject to a criminal background check and a drug screen. A valid driver's license is required for the material handler position. Applicants must have lived in the United States for the last five years. A 10-year residential and work history including addresses, countries, ZIP codes and phone numbers is also required.

Applicants are also asked to bring two forms of unexpired, government-issued identification.
