INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana State Department of Health reported Friday that 69 more people died with COVID-19 and 6,199 others tested positive for the virus.
Deaths are reported based on when the state receives data and occurred over multiple days.
There have been 552,594 positive cases and 8,521 confirmed deaths in Indiana since the pandemic began. An additional 371 probable COVID-19 deaths have also been reported.
A total of 2,769 people are in the hospital with COVID-19, an decrease since Thursday's report.
There have been more than 6 million COVID-19 tests administered to more than 2.7 million individuals with a 20.3% cumulative positivity rate among unique individuals. Indiana's seven-day positivity rate among unique individuals through Jan. 1 is 28.1%.
Among all tests, the cumulative positivity rate is 10.8%, while the seven-day positivity rate is 16.4%.
The state health department said 23% of ICU beds and 71.8% of ventilators are available.
