INDIANAPOLIS – The chief justice of the Indiana Supreme Court tested positive for COVID-19 this week.

Justice Loretta Rush tested positive on Sept. 13 after a family member tested positive as well.

Rush immediately self-isolated upon learning of the family member’s positive COVID test, has been working remotely, and has not been to the Indiana Statehouse since Sept. 1, according to a spokesperson for the court.

Rush is still working remotely.

The Indiana Supreme Court and Clerk’s Office are both open, though with adjustments for the health of the community.
