INDIANAPOLIS -- An 18-year-old was hospitalized late Sunday night after a shooting on Indianapolis' west side.
The shooting happened just before midnight near the intersection of 34th Street and Heather Ridge Drive.
An officer with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said the 18-year-old was inside a car with two 16-year-olds at the entrance to Heather Ridge Apartments when somebody drove by and started shooting.
The two 16-year-olds are OK, but the 18-year-old was shot in the chest.
The 18-year-old was taken to Eskenazi Health in serious condition.
