19-year-old in critical condition after northeast-side shooting

INDIANAPOLIS -- A 19-year-old was hospitalized early Monday morning after a shooting on Indianapolis' northeast side.

The shooting happened at a Clark gas station near the intersection of 38th and Oxford streets just after midnight. 

The 19-year-old was shot in the abdomen and taken to Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition.

Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were talking to another man at the scene who was bleeding from his ear. It is unknown if that man was connected to the shooting.
