2 arrested after Fishers house burglaries

FISHERS, Ind. -- Two suspects in house burglaries were arrested by Fishers police Monday.

Officers with the Fishers Police Department were called to the 11100 block of Timberview Drive to investigate an alarm at a house. When police got to the area, they saw two men at the back of the house, who ran when officers identified themselves.

After a short chase, both men were caught and detained. 

Police believe the suspects burglarized another house and multiple cars in the neighborhood. Officers were able to return the stolen items to the victims.

Police also found a juvenile asleep in a vehicle that belonged to one of the suspects. 

The two suspects are Marlin E. Rush, 21, and Derrick L. Johnson Jr., 18.

The two adults were taken to the Hamilton County Jail. The juvenile was taken to the Marion County Juvenile Detention Center for an outstanding pick-up order.

Rush and Johnson each face the following charges:

  • Burglary
  • Attempted burglary
  • Residential entry
  • Residential entry 
  • Theft
  • Theft
  • Resisting law enforcement
  • Possession of marijuana
