INDIANAPOLIS -- At least six people were taken into custody on drug charges Wednesday morning on Indianapolis' near-west side.
Four people were arrested from a house near the intersection of 18th Street and Riverside Drive around 6 a.m. Two more were arrested a few blocks away, on Burton Street.
Police say they were taken into custody by a combination of the FBI Safe Streets program, IMPD and the Marion County Gang Unit. The DEA were also seen at the house. Police say the suspects came out of the house, but tried to get rid of the drugs beforehand.
Several dogs were also taken from the house. Police wouldn't say if more arrests are expected Wednesday.
