Woman shot during argument, husband charged

JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. -- A woman was shot Tuesday during an argument with her husband in Johnson County.

The shooting happened during an argument about money at their house in the 700 block of Leisure Lane.

The woman's husband, Stephen Keck, grabbed a gun and said he was contemplating hurting himself with it.

While holding the weapon, it went off, hitting the woman in the right side, the man told police. The woman was interviewed at the hospital by police. She said she also believes it was an accident.

Keck was charged with criminal recklessness.

The woman's son was also in the house at the time of the incident.
