Police arrest 21-year-old in liquor store parking lot killing

INDIANAPOLIS -- Detectives with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department arrested a suspect in a homicide from the city's east side.

The shooting happened in a parking lot on Indianapolis' east side late Saturday evening. Trymaine Lewis, 37, was found just after 10 p.m. in the parking lot of Triangle Liquors on Roosevelt Avenue. He had been shot at least one time. 

Lewis was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital but later died during surgery. 

Tuesday morning, police announced they arrested Robert Ray, 21 in connection with the homicide. Police believe Ray shot Lewis on Saturday.

When found in Castleton, Ray had a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.
