INDIANAPOLIS -- A person was shot and killed Friday morning on Indianapolis' north side.
The shooting happened around 8:30 a.m., in the 3600 block of N. Kenwood Avenue.
When Indianapolis police arrived they found an unresponsive man lying on the ground and suffering from at least one gunshot wound in the alley west of Kenwood Avenue. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident is being investigated as a homicide, according to a dispatcher with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department and the victim's identity has not been confirmed.
Detectives do not have information on a possible suspect and do not have a motive on why the man was killed.
