Police: 4 people from Indianapolis went to Greenwood for a fight; one person was shot and killed

GREENWOOD, Ind. -- Police say four people from Indianapolis were dropped off at home in Greenwood to start a fight when gunfire broke out, injuring two and killing one. 

The shooting happened in the 500 block of N. Meridian Street around 10 a.m. Thursday.

Police say the four from Indianapolis - Karin Castro, 21, Roberto Wangeman, 28, Tania Chaves, 24, and a 17-year-old male - went to Greenwood to confront Felipe Zaragoza, 20, and his 24-year-old brother, Jose.

Castro was shot several times and pronounced dead after being taken to Eskenazi Hospital. The 17-year-old was also sent to Eskenazi to be treated for a bullet wound to the chest. 

Chaves was arrested for auto theft and taken to the Johnson County Jail. Roberto Wangeman has not been charged at this time.

One of the residents at the home, Felipe Zaragoza, 20, was treated for a gunshot wound to the leg.  Zaragoza's 24-year-old brother, who was there at the time of the shooting, was not injured.

Greenwood police did not provide any information on the motive behind the fight. The case remains under investigation.
