CAMBY, Ind. -- A stolen vehicle was used to ram a gun store in an attempted robbery Thursday morning in Camby, Indiana.

Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department say at least two suspects were involved in the attempted robbery at Bradis Guns, near the intersection of Camby Road and Kentucky Avenue.

The car used to ram the store was taken in a carjacking earlier in the night.

Dennis Mathews, the owner of the vehicle used in the attempted robbery, said he was on his way to work when his car was jacked by three people near the intersection of Harding Street and Banta Road.

When one suspect got in the car, he asked Mathews to pray for him.

"I'm sorry, he's making me do this," the suspect told Mathews. "Pray for me -- will you pray for me?"

Mathews said he'd pray for him before the vehicle took off.

Police say the attempt to break into the store was not successful. The suspects got away in a different vehicle.
