INDIANAPOLIS – Monday is the deadline to register to vote in Indiana. If you’re not registered to vote yet, it’s an easy process to get started.
First, go to indianavoters.com and click “Register to Vote.”
In order to register, you must first meet a few requirements:
- Have a valid Indiana driver’s license or state ID card
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Be at least 18 years old before the election
- Have lived in your precinct for at least 30 days before the election
- Not currently imprisoned after being convicted of a crime
When you register, you’ll need to input your name, birthday, address and a few more pieces of information.
Even if you think you're registered, it's important to check and make sure Monday. As of Monday morning, there were nearly 4.7 million registered voters in Indiana.
