INDIANAPOLIS -- If you're looking to avoid the crowds altogether on Black Friday, but you still need something to do, the Indiana State Parks are trying to fill that void.

The parks have partnered with outdoor gear retailer REI to provide free entrance to all Indiana State Parks on Nov.25.

The goal of the promotion is to get people outside on a day that is usually filled with lines and frustration.

The offer applies to state parks, state reservoirs and forest recreation areas.

You're also encouraged to take a selfie and post it on the Indiana State Parks Facebook page with the hashtags #OptOutside or #OptOutsideIN.

Anybody who posts the selfie is entered to win a "hiking package," valued at $200.
