INDIANAPOLIS -- One couple that needed a Christmas dinner will have one this year for no charge, thanks to a generous police officer.
Terri and Debbie Kaufman had to borrow money for groceries to buy the ingredients for their Christmas dinner. When they were in line to pay, an officer with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department approached them and offered to pay instead.
When Terri turned around to thank the officer again and talk to him, he had disappeared. The Kaufmans don't know who the officer was, but they're trying to find him to properly thank him.
They described him as in-uniform, with a gold badge and red hair.
We want to help find him, too.
