CHICAGO -- Instead of the usual letter sent home to parents with an introduction, a first-year teacher in Chicago decided to do things his way.
Dwayne Reed created a song and video called "Welcome to the 4th Grade" to introduce himself to students and parents for the upcoming school year.
The song has lyrics like "We'll learn about science/find ways to apply it/I bet that you'll like it/Gonna have a good time" and "Hello, I'm your teacher/My name's Mr. Reed and it's very nice to meet ya/I'm from Chicago and I love eating pizza/I dress to impress, but I still rock sneakers."
