Warriors fan visited by Steph Curry at Riley Hospital

Posted

INDIANAPOLIS -- For the patients at Riley Hospital for Children, a distraction from the reality they're in can mean everything.

Brody Stephens is a basketball player from New Palestine. At just 7 years old, he's in his second fight for his life with leukemia.

Brody's favorite team is the Golden State Warriors.

While Brody was wrapped up in his Warriors blanket over the weekend, he received a special visit from the Warriors' Steph Curry.

Brody spent more than an hour with Curry. He Facetimed with a few of Curry's teammates and received a few autographed jerseys.

Brody gave Curry a gift of his own: an orange and black bracelet that says "BrodyStrong."

The boy told Curry he'll be cheering him on as the Warriors play the Pacers Monday night.

Curry told him to keep an eye out for the bracelet, because he'll be wearing it during the game.
