HAMILTON COUNTY, Ind. -- If you have questions about the proposed Nickel Plate Trail that would connect Fishers and Noblesville, come to a listening session this week to get some of those issues answered.
The new 9.2-mile trail would connect 96th Street in Fishers to Pleasant Street in Noblesville.
Problems have plagued the State Fair Rail Line. The train was canceled last year due to the poor condition of the tracks.

The trail-to-rail conversion is expected to cost $9.3 million. The trail will be developed under a federal program as part of its National Trails System Act, according to a release.
As of March 21, more than 4,000 people have signed a petition to "Save the Nickel Plate Road" on change.org.
