2 hurt in shooting on Indy's east side

INDIANAPOLIS -- Two people were hurt early Monday in a shooting on Indianapolis' east side.

The shooting happened just before 1 a.m., in a house in the 1400 block of N. Ridgeview Drive. 

Details are still unclear, but police say a 28-year-old man was shot in the upper body. He was taken to Eskenazi Health in critical condition. 

A 19-year-old man suffered a shoulder injury, but police aren't sure if he was shot or if he was just cut. He was also taken to Eskenazi Health.

Animal control removed two pit bulls from the house.

The two victims lived at the house, police said.
