3 hurt in I-69 crash in Fishers

FISHERS, Ind. -- Three people were hurt in a crash Sunday evening on Interstate 69 in Fishers, Indiana.

The crash happened around 8:30 p.m., in the northbound lanes of I-69 near the exit ramp for 116th Street.

Police say a Dodge Grand Caravan was headed north on I-69 and hit a the barrier that separates the interstate from the exit ramps to northbound State Road 37 and 116th Street.

The force of the impact sent the van and its engine block into the air.

The van then hit a northbound 2011 Chevy Mailbu ad the engine block was struck by a northbound 2007 Ford F250 truck.

The driver of the van and both people in the Chevy Malibu were treated at the scene then taken to the hospital.

The accident remains under investigation.
