LAFAYETTE — Late last week, close to 20 Ku Klux Klan recruitment fliers were found near downtown Lafayette, according to the Lafayette Police Department.
On Friday morning, multiple reports were made to LPD about the fliers. Just north of downtown, all of the fliers were found mere blocks from each other.
LPD Sgt. Mike Brown says a criminal investigation is not likely to occur, as nothing was threatening on the fliers.
This is not an open investigation, but police say if someone knows who distributed the fliers, they would be interested in talking with them.
