Amber Alert canceled for two children from Hamlet

HAMLET — An Amber Alert was canceled Saturday morning for two children from Hamlet after they were safely located.

Hamlet Police Department officers were looking for Adyden Javier Mendez and Yulianna Rose Mendez, who were last seen around 1:30 a.m. Saturday morning, according to the alert. They are believed to be in extreme danger.

Adyden is described as being a 7-year-old Hispanic boy, 3 feet tall, weighing 45 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, according to the alert. He was last seen wearing a black basketball jersey with "MEXICO" written on it and black shorts.

Yulianna is described as being a 3-year-old Hispanic girl, 2 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 30 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, according to the alert. She was least wearing a white shirt with colored designs on the front and turquoise shorts.

The children were believed to be with Francisco Javier Mendez, described as being a 28-year-old Hispanic man, 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 175 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, according to the alert. He was last seen driving a black 2013 Audi A4 with Indiana license plate LE5262.
