Anderson police arrest man in connection with murder at apartment complex

ANDERSON, Ind. – After a week-long investigation, a man was arrested Wednesday night in connection with a murder in Anderson.

Nicolas Stuart Gray, 26, was arrested with an initial charge of murder by Anderson police in his home in the 1700 block of Johnson Avenue.

He was arrested in connection with the murder of 35-year-old Jeremy Silvey, who was found unresponsive from an apparent gunshot wound to the head last Thursday night inside a parked vehicle at Lynn Wood Village Apartments.

Silvey was taken to St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital and died the next day.

In addition to the arrest, police allegedly found items relevant to their investigation inside Gray's home.

The suspect was questioned about the shooting, but Anderson Police Department officials said they will not reveal the details of their investigation until Gray is formally charged.

Gray is booked at the Madison County Detention Center.
