INDIANAPOLIS — A child was killed after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the road near Rural and 12th Street just before 4 p.m.
Emergency responders transported the child to the hospital in critical condition, where the child later died.
IMPD is investigating the incident.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with detectives.
Police do not believe intoxication is a factor at this time.
