INDIANAPOLIS -- It's a battle of the bands, and local favorite, GLAMerica, needs your help to take their music to the big stage.

Indianapolis will play host for the Fire Department International Conference at the Indiana Convention Center in April. It's a huge event for the city, and this year they are looking for the best firefighter band to take the spotlight.

"I think it's the greatest job in the world when you have a job you can help somebody out. What can you do that's better than that, right? And then I get to play in a band as my moonlight job," Franklin Firefighter Brad Epperson said.

GLAMerica is the only band from Indiana in the national competition.

"Music is a good way to represent people. This is us, this represents Indiana," Tabetha McCleery said.

The competition relies on online votes from fans. To vote, click here. The contest ends February 1.
