INDIANAPOLIS -- A bicyclist was injured after they were hit by an SUV early Wednesday morning.
The incident happened near the intersection of Shelby Street and Bradbury Avenue around 1 a.m.
Police believe the person on the bike ignored a flashing red light and rode directly in front of the SUV.
The driver immediately stopped to help the bicyclist.
The bicyclist was taken to Eskenazi Health in critical condition.
Police say it does not appear that alcohol or drugs played a role in this crash.
