There will be 200 charge points and 100 electric vehicles, which is much more than the 26 spots and 50 vehicles Indianapolis started the program with.

Los Angeles will be the second city in the United States with the car-sharing program.

“Every community in Los Angeles deserves cleaner air, and the opportunity to make a difference in the fight against climate change. That is why we are so proud that we can now launch the nation's first pilot program for electric vehicle sharing in disadvantaged communities. That is real progress,” said Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti.

Bollore's electric car-sharing program is already in operation in Paris, Lyon, France, Bordeaux, France, and Turin, Italy. The company also has plans to expand to Singapore.
