Body pulled from creek on Indianapolis' east side

INDIANAPOLIS — A body was pulled from a creek Sunday evening on the east side of Indianapolis.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers and emergency personnel were called around 5:30 p.m. to the creek near Brookside Parkway South and North Sherman drives on the report of a body in the water, IMPD Officer Aaron Hamer said in an email. When they arrived, they found a female who was dead in the water.

Detectives not believe foul play is involved.

At this time, the identity of the woman has not been released.
